Things I'm Loving

February is the month of love, so this month I am sharing products I am loving!  You should know this about me - I am the kind of person who buys every new item that comes on the market.  If it looks cool, I’ll buy it.  With that said, 85% of what I buy ends up only being used once and then stored in my closet’s “junk basket."  When I find something that truly brings me joy every time I use it, I want to shout it from the rooftops!  (I am not sponsored by any of these items, I just like to share the love with others.)
Household:
  • Surpahs Over the sink multipurpose Roll-up Dish drying rack:  I used to have my folding wooden dish drying rack taking up space on my countertop. As a baker, I need every inch of my kitchen's counter top, so to me this wooden drying rack was wasting space.  When I found this drying rack that rested over the sink, I fell in love! So much so that everyone who came to my house needed to experience the visual love it brought me, even if they could care less.  This drying rack frees up some much-needed counter space and it doesn’t get moldy like the wooden racks do.  (I found this on Amazon.)

Health:  These 3 items are my daily go-to items.
  • Dr. Bornner’s Lavender Organic Hand Sanitizer:  These days we are all using (or should be using) hand sanitizers on a regular basis. I have found some to smell a little funky and sometimes even drying to my skin.  This hand sanitizer and it is my #1 Go-To…it smells amazing and doesn’t leave my hands feeling dry.  (I found this at Trader Joes.)

  • Emergen-C:  In addition to hand sanitizers, I have made my daily routine to include a shot of Emergen-C.  My hubby and I take Emergen-C “shots" every day together as we clink glasses and toast to continued health!  One “shot” (or packet) is loaded with tons of nutrients, including 1,000 mg of Vitamin C, zinc, B vitamins and electrolytes to help boost our systems.  Who doesn’t need that, these days?  (These are available every where - I got mine at CVS.)

  • Built Bars:  I am a choc-o-holic!  If I could, I would eat chocolate for every meal!  These bars are the first protein bars I actually crave!  They come in a ton of different flavors, but my personal favorites are the Banana Nut Bread (it doesn’t sound like it, but it is so good!  It tastes like a chocolate dipped banana.)  I also love the Coconut Almond (it tastes like an Almond Joy)!!  They are loaded with protein and are low in calories and sugar.  Definitely a must-try.  (I have not seen these in stores yet, so just go to their website to order.)
Beauty:
  • Revlon One Step Hair Dryer and Volumizer Hot Air Brush:  My hair dresser, who is also my very close friend, told me this was a must-have!!  I immediately ordered one and my mind is blown.  Typically I blow dry my hair, but with this “brush” I can actually style my hair.    I can’t believe I lived this long without it!  (I got mine from Amazon.)

  • Holler and Glow Purrfect Pedi Intensive Transforming Foot Peel Sock Mask:  Ok everyone!!!  This was an accidental find.  My friend and I went for a Girls' Weekend Get-A-Way late last year. She bought us a ton of things for a “spa night” including hair masks, face masks, and these foot masks.  You put the mask on your feet for about an hour and within 7 days your heels and callouses will start to peel.  Your feet will peel for a few days and honestly, this part of the process is a bit gross. However, once the peeling is done, your feet will feel like a baby’s butt!  So soft and gorgeous.  (I found these at Target for under $5.)
TV Show:
  • The Home Edit (Netflix):  If you love organizing, this show will totally inspire you!  I am the kind of person that I have to organize my pantry and refrigerator BEFORE I can put groceries away.  I also, only buy one color or towels so that my linen closet matches.  My friend told me about this Netflix show and I binged watched it.  Then, I followed them on Instagram and we are now BFF’s, although they don’t know it yet.
Instagram Account:
  • Among many cookie decorator accounts, I absolutely love, “Live Composed” and “The Home Edit”.  Any new post I see, I have to either copy it in my home or send it to my daughter to do in her home.
Book/Audiobook:
  • Anything Rachel Hollis – “Girl Stop Apologizing”.  I have become an avid book reader / audio book listener.  When I go walking in the mornings, I listen to a Rachel Hollis book and it starts my day as though I just took an energy drink.  I feel empowered and inspired.  She’s hilarious and adorable and inspiring all at the same time.  I absolutely love her and am proud that she and I are BFF’s as well, even though she doesn’t know it yet either.  😊
